I was glad to get this one recently. It came with about 20 other pieces from the family. It was so nice I thought it was made recently!!! I have never had one this nice.

Awesome John! I would say the GWB and EK1 combo were probably taken from the same high ranking guy. Great piece.

This is a real beauty as far as I’m concerned; a real catch that’s been well stored.
          Congratulations on acquiring it John.

Perhaps a stupid question, but I´m not a "Wound badge guy" :

How do you know it´s a Schickle? The hardware?

Here is the entire lot of items. Story I was told is that it was brought to the USA by a German lady right after the war. I do not know if she married a serviceman etc. Recently a family member had died and they were selling items from the house. Also there was an EK2 ribbon, I think the ribbon bar size not photographed, enjoy!

I could not really see any correlation between the items but the condition all appeared excellent.

If anybody sees any relation between the items I will be glad to listen.

                              Hi

I'ts the design of the helmet thats unique for the Schickle wound badges
and the hardware, but you can find wb's with a round wire catch instead of the typical Schickle catch

I call the design "Pettson type"
check out 1:34 in the clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbetTXETI_M

                              Cheers
