Hi Nordi ,can you show where the crease is ,the missing dots on the left hand side of the helmet would have put doubts in my mind also the catch on one of them ,two more to avoid thanks for posting Kevin.

Great thread, thanks all for the information. I picked up a Wound badge in a bundle that I assumed was real, but have since been told otherwise. I really cannot discern on these very well. Here are some photos in case anyone may find it useful, and any comments would be most helpful as to what is wrong with it. Besides the broken catch of course!

Sorry to ask a newb question. But what is meant by the term "low rim" fake? Is is the outer rim on the back of the badge?

                  Adding another fake.

This design can also be found on silver and gold badges often with the maker mark 30

                  Cheers,

Hi Ronny, great thread and very useful, thanks for posting.

Unfortunately I was at the SOS the day you posted this most recent fake, and as luck would have it I got burned on it at the show! Here is the one I picked up for reference.

Would you mind posting a few of the examples you mention above with the same design and marked 30, etc?

                    Thanks

                    Tom

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Here are some scans I have in my archive,
These were all being sold on Catawiki, I email them but they are still sold there ever so often,

I'm not sure why I drew the line underneath the helmet. Also notice the lack of rivet in the back,

                              Hello,

While reading this article, I compared it to a purchase I had made some time ago.

Suffice to say that it hurt me to sell despite the doubts.

Thank you all for your contributions, I discover tips every day to stop feeding scammers.
