BWB by RSS

I would like to show you my newest addition, a BWB made by RSS in Gablonz. A soft maker mark 93 is also visible on the reverse.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Even nicer as a matched set! It took me a long time to find an RSS envelope and mine is not in the best of condition.

Hi Bosse

Interesting packet, I only ever saw that style of designation with maker Emil Peukert, so for me unusual. The paper and the way
the packet is made is very similar.
RSS packets usually have a different style of designation.

Hi gentlemen,

first of all thanks to Graeme for the interesting information. I've never noticed that. I did a little research in the forum and found an Emil Peuker and a RSS envelope in a thread.

The Peuker packet is considered to be an authentic piece, the RSS a fake. I decided to do a little comparison regarding the one I own (please see pictures below).

When looking at the RSS envelope posted by Spunkmaja and mine I've noticed differences in the way of folding the wrapping. Also there's a difference in the size of the designation on the reverse.

Comparing the Emil Peuker envelope to mine I found the similarities Graeme has already mentioned, especially the style of folding and the style of designation.

I think there is a good chance that Emil Peuker and RSS used the same packet supplier.

The second bag is not looking good and not made from proper material.

Uncommon is the third bag for this maker, the BWB is very nice in wonderful condition.
