    Gold Wound Badge

    Good day folks

    Are there any red flags with this one. Not the best pics I'm afraid but I'm trying to get better ones.

    Please try to present straight on taken photos, not angled, no "artistic" touch.
    Looks OK, judging by these photos, however. IMO.

            Can someone tell us what the manufacture process for the gold wound badge was. i would assume that after the hardware would be soldered to the badge it would receive its gold wash? Can someone please clarify if this is a correct assumption? Also, were silver wound badges made of tombak and silver washed after hardware is soldered on?

              @ Jcarey46, I think you will get a better response by starting your own thread on the topic.

              Regarding the GWB, the hinge and catch assembly look correct for an unmarked 30 in gold. Further, I can see the faint circular manufacturing marks on the back of the badge in the upper right corner, similar to other unmarked 30's.

                Hello

                I see no problems with this badge.

                A bit dull looking maybe for being a "vienna design" badge
                they usually have a shiny looking surface
