    Black Beauty

First time i saw one i felt the need to get me one but it took quite some time until another surfaced. The seller sold it as a B.H.Mayer?! I´ll make shure to contact the seller to see if he has any further information regarding the link to the alledged maker. It´s despite copper tone under the black finish magnetic!

Gorgeous Hans, very nice! Lovely worn look, and very surprising to see its magnetic?!

As to the maker, the reverse hardware setup points toward Schickle for me.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

the only thing that resembles a Schickle hardware it the hinge, Catch is different

Thanks Hans. Yep, you are right, catch isn't really Schickle at all; thought it looked different configuration from the top down.

The catch looks more like Ludenscheid to me, but really no clue toward a maker since many firms used it (and not just in Ludenscheid).

                            Hi Hans,

What a great looking Wound Badge. Very nice lapel bow too. The catch on that badge reminds me of what we see on L/21 Förster & Barth, Pforzheim Heer Flak Badges.

                            Best regards,
                            Tom
