    SWB on Estand- Original?

    Hello everyone!

Is this Silver Wound Badge original? It looks like bad casting to me.... or am I just being overly cautious?

It looked suspicious to me as well when I saw it on the E-stand. Not for my collection for sure.

I do not really understand your photos , there are features of the image and the stamp of the manufacturer . my wound to the states and to used condition and costs 30-35 euros, you show injury cost 60-80 euros in excellent condition , it does not show a large photo stamps manufacturer . what was discussed then?

Compare the backsides... Look at where the hinge is attached, there is a huge difference between my badges and yours.

This has nothing to do with price

show photo stamp manufacturer , namely numbers 107 , pay attention to the sword dies from the outside , look carefully , they are identical with mine. and fastening pins are different you also different fastening .

I am not hugely experienced with Carl Wild wound badges but a couple of points that caught my eye were the shape of the swastika (uneven width in the arms, crude edges) and the lack of detail in the top of the wreath. These really jumped out at me when compared with the examples posted by chrisje110.

Based on the pics posted on the E-stand unless some better and sharper images are presented i´d say cast as well.

There are 2 different types of Carl Wilds made in zinc in terms of hardware.
One with a large hinge plate and one with a small hinge plate ... chrisje110´s badge has the large hinge plate

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Than, as mentioned by others, post better, more clear pics to take away the doubts from almost everyone who responded here so far. Untill no better pics are provided I'm afraid opinions will stay the same and this badge will be seen as a bad cast copy.

what for? Only yesterday you said only one fixture can be , what showed the chrisje110. I propose to recognize that injury Darrell too fake . at least all be logical and consistent .

I am sorry but I nowhere said that. I have a few of these myself and I know of the variations. So don't put words in my mouth which I didn't say.

I said I dislike the badge as pointed out by the initial thread starter the badge to be a cast fake. Everybody here agrees with it being a cast fake. So prove otherwise with better pics or accept the opinions given here.
