    Silver Haupt "30"

    Hey Guys,

I wanted to share this silver Haupt I picked up recently. Not a beauty like the last one posted by Tom Y (wow!), but it has character. I hope you like it.

    BR,
    James

Hi James, gorgeous original. I really like these worn examples, yours has great character and nice patina. Much more appealing to me then mint, unworn examples. A keeper for sure!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi James,

Love it! That one has loads of character. I agree with Tom D's comments. These look great when they show their age and wear.

        Best regards,
        Tom

I too like the chacter of this one. When I see ones like this, I always wonder if the silver wore off the swastika through use or if it was deliberately polished off by the original wearer for the effect. Either way, it looks nice.

                    Hi Dale!

I believe in more often cases the silver wore off - take a look at mine!

Nice badge Peter, but yours still has more silver left to the swaz than James' does. I agree, though, most of the times its just from normal wear, and James' badge has the silver worn in most of the high points so it probably is from use. I have seen BWBs in photos with the swastika polished, so I guess it could have happened with the silver as well, though I don't recall seeing any in photos.
