    Silver Wound badge

    Hello Forum Members,
I was getting ready to post some Wound Badges on my site and this one did not feel like the others. I really do not know what it is, or if it is correct. It came out of a nice collection of Iron Crosses, Wound Badges and Long Service medals. The previous owner passed away and all he collected were variants of these 3 items.
I have not found one fake in it, this might be one.
Can anyone help me with it.
    Thank You in advanced,
    J Neeley

            Old cast fake...

I suggest to check in the other sub-forums for the other awards you got , probably may exist other fakes too.

              Wound Badge

No, I have many of the medals posted for sale. The bulk of it was a large Iron Cross collection. I knew the Silver Wound badge posted here was not right. I actually worded the question wrong.
My real question was "What was it supposed to be ? I have never had one, but were there not Spanish versions? It is so far off, is that what the original fakers were trying to do?"
If I had pieces posted on my site that were no good, I would of gotten messages from people all over the world. Iron Crosses and Long Service medals are easy to spot. The deceased collector had a good eye. He bought pieces from me, too. I might need to post a few other wound badges, just in case. They seem to be the hardest to verify.
This is why I love this forum, you have guys that specialize in certain things and can spot fakes very well.
Yes, My real question is: Is this fake supposed to be a fake of a Spanish wound badge? Sorry for my blunder, it is not even shaped like a German Wound Badge.

                Hi Jack

Yes it is supposed to be a legion condor or "first type" is more correct

                Cheers,

                  Wound Badge

Thank, I thought that was what it was TRYING or supposed to be a fake of. I have never owned one. They are more round.
Guys, I apologize for my wrongful wording of the original question. I knew no matter what, from the begining it was a fake.
I still took the advice and had a medal specialist take a look at everything and that was the only bad piece in the whole collection.
I know I probably overpaid for the collection, I always do, when taking care of older customers widows. I can not stop.
                  Thanks Again,
                  Jack
