Request for Information About Old Copy

Gentlemen;

Can anyone tell us what we have here? This badge is heavy and the reverse is stamped "L12". We have owned this badge for over 30 years.

I notice it's marked 935 at the bottom under the catch, where is the L12 ? On the pin?
Would you be so kind as to tell us where it was obtained 30 years ago. ? That would be around 1985 or so? Right?

Sorry, yes the badge is stamped "935" on the reverse. The "L" appears on the left side of the catch and the "12" appears on the right side of the catch.

My wife and I bought several large collections back then and we think it came in one of those collections. We were buying collections in the 1980's.

I found these pictures in my archives of a L/12 (800) badge which has been authenticated as being an original pre 1945 manufactured badge.

Yours is different in many ways. I also think it is a post war badge with the typical oversized L/12 mark as found on many old copies.
