NIce wound badges, first time I see some on these manufacturer cards.

Maybe out in left field again but the use of the expression"mattweiss" is reminiscent of terminology used in Weimar period/Third Reich medal manufacturer's catalogs I have seen where some items were offered in different grades/finishes (for a nominal surcharge of course).

As far as the recipient (or buyer) was concerned it was still a silver or gold wound badge but this manufacturer may have used the advertising opportunity provided by the card to suggest he produced other versions (eg: painted VS plated and plated with polished highlights)

        Hi,

in WW1 Mattweiss/Gelb was the official term and it was printed as such on the award document as well.

Silber and Gold did not exist as such until WW2.

        best
