                What I personally didn't like about it was sort of the "pre worn" edges of the swastica, and the thicker edge with the kind of rougher finished edges.

                  This was one of Niemann's Repros of the week from December 2001.

                  Who made them is unknown, and not really that important. They are not a reproduction of a period badge, they are a purpose made fake. That they were identified as fakes when they first entered the market is the important thing.

                    Indeed a fake like Mike states. These can sometimes be found marked with a Assmann "A" on the disc
