    GWB, marked "2"

A fellow collector sent me this wound badge. It's solid tombac, correct size, nice finish, but horrible looking fittings. Any chance this one is real?

    a1.jpg

solid tombac, 44x37 mm, heavy, thick, 38.47 gm, large weakly struck 2 - almost looks like an upside down "7".

It comes in this LDO marked sturdy well made maroon box, 72x58x22 mm.

Sorry but that is a fake IMO.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

          Hi guys,

Yes, this one looks very sketchy to me as well; weird metal, weird finish, weird hardware and pin, etc.

Can we see a closeup of the "2" mark, just curious?

          Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

The case is a fake. I believe these are made in the UK, and they would appear to be an elaboration of the fake LDO boxes.

              Kind regards,

              Marcus
