WWI and WW2 WB Wound Badges L/11 ...any help appreciated!

    Hi,

4 wound badges below... first three WWI and the last one WW2. Could you all please have a look and let me know if I have any fakes in the lot. I trust you guys are just as good at the early ones as you are at the WW2s. Thanks in advance for the help!

    #1, #2 look very similar....

#3 ...the white spot on the back is some type of plaster showing through that obviously fills the body of the helmet though the external metal looks to be brass.

#4 L/11 maker... was nicely denazified with a faint remnant of swastika still visible from the backside!

...I forgot to mention a magnet will stick to the first two.... Thanks.

      Hi Dan,

All original badges. The first 2 are probably WW1 to early post-WW1 examples. The third example is a de-nazified and imo repainted TR period badge. The fourth badge is a nice "honest" de-nazified example.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Hi. IMO the two Imperials are 100%. The third one shown I don't know. The last on is a denazified original. Regards, Ron.

          Ron...
Here are a few more photos of the 3rd one. I think Mike has it pegged! Maybe they rubbed the swastika off a little too deep and broke thru the metal ... then filled it with a plaster... then repainted it! It all makes sense as long as the hardware on this one checks out under the critical eyes of the forum. Give it another look... all comments welcome and a big thanks for those who have helped!
