                This is no fake, but rather a fine original Meybauer with typical Meybauer hardware setup.

                  It's not typical Meybauer ... for woundbadge collectors it is rarer variant when we look at Meybauer marked wound badges.

                    Its typical enough to know its a Meybauer Andreas. If it were unmarked, it would still be a Meybauer.

                      In your point of view for sure

                      Put it into a wooden box and write "Schwäbisch Gmünd" on it --- than it easily becomes a rare Rettenmaier

                        Nope, the hardware is very different, there is no way a Meybauer would be confused with Rettenmaier.
