Silver Wound Badge Maker

Hi guys,

Finally got a Silver one today ... I "thought" I already had one but it turned out to be a gold with most of the gold washed off. Here is the Silver one. Below it are two other Gold ones with close to the same hinge-pin-catch assemblies. Could it be a 28 or a 4? Thanks.

You are right but you are thinking of early-war "30"s, late-war issues had thin pins

Ahhh ok. Didn't know that. Thanks. Could be I guess. Anyone else care to offer an opinion?

I do not think this is an unmarked 30. The hinge, while cast in, is not correct as 30's hinges should be flat on the top.

I agree Al. I just looked at one on Kai Winkler's site and like you say, the hinge is completely different from mine.

Mine looks to be either a 26 or 28. I would be willing to guess.
