No more opinions ? I think we look here at a good cast fake, there are several hints for a modern casting.

Why do you think that it´s a fake?

Can you post some pics of the hardware?
          Regards

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

One point are the cast signs directly on the top of the helmet and on the back (dents etc.) Another point is that on the back the base material has an indentation from the original needle, whereas the new needle doens´t match on the position and don´t have the cut who made that indentation. Here are pictures of hardware and i circle what i mean with the indentation.

The more i look at it i tend to agree that it´s a bad one. The first thing that throws me off it the lack of "rivet skull" on the hinge. Your badge looks much cruder in details as well that i am used to see.

Here is what i´d like to see in a original "28" WB

Compared to other "28" badges the catch is also different. Also it just doesn´t have the feeling of a Zinc badge. As said that i just tried to make some cuts with my fingernail ... and it works ... definately no Zinc, it´s rather some sort of lead.
