WWI WBB-Information (Help) Please

WWI Wound Badges are a new field for me and I would like some help please in properly identifying this badge.
It is in very good condition and has a very dark silver/grey paint rather than the usual black.
I believe that the pin assembly should also indicate when it was made as I am not sure if it was of pre-1918 manufacture....yet it appears to be an "original" WWI Wound Badge.
I have searched the library and it is still not clear to me as to the manufacturer and time/place of manufacture.

I would appreciate any help with this badge before I sell it.

If the paint is like a gun blue then it is a so called "oxydiert" badge. A Silver based badge that has been oxydized in to a "deluxe" black version.

Since the WB was introduced in 1918 I am quite sure it is not pre-1918

I would venture to say 20's-30's production. Some Imperial WB's were awarded at the very end but most were issued post war.

Of course you are correct as I see now that I should have said pre-November 11th, 1918 manufacture…in other words, WWI issued.
I understand that I probably should have just referred to it as an Imperial Wound Badge.
I was not sure if it was WWI issued or post WWI issued…but I was fairly certain that it was not some fantasy piece or a reproduction.
It is still a beautiful example regardless and the new owner of this badge will be very pleased.
