    L/18 Silver Wound Badge

Just got this BH Mayer L/18 marked silver wound badge w/the pillow crimping.
I was wondering about comparative rarity & value to other LDO silver wound badges.

I searched a few old threads on them, but am curious about what the current opinions are on these.
If I understand correctly, these aren't that common, right?
Would these be rarer than an L/16 marked one?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

          Chris,

The WB you posted is original without any finish left, also you can find indentical badges without the maker marks.
What do you mean: "these aren't that common, right?"
'L/16' solid WBs are indeed scarce but there are some other makers and types that are rarer.
"L/18" WBs are something between common and scarce.

            Hi Chris,

            Thanks for the reply.

Most of my conclusions on this badge were based on what I'd read in old threads.

The reason I mentioned the "L/16" is because I have one, and I'll probably only keep one of these (either the L/16 or the L/18). So, in short my reason for asking was that I would prefer to keep the scarcer of the 2.
            Regards,
            Chris
