Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Silber - Deschler

Hi,
This badge that I own was recently discussed on another forum where the opinions were mixed regarding if it original or not. The badge itself has been attributed to Deschler. Also for some reason it was marked ”10” rather than expected ”L10”, ”L/10” or ”1”. So I hope anyone at this forum can solve the puzzle.

I'm no expert by any means but the bow and leaves seem a little flat compared to my 100+ wound badges - not to say its not original but reminds me of the 20th Juli wound badge reproductions badges laurel leafs ??

Hi Jonas,

Imo a 100% original Ubergrosse (Deschler/Wiedmann). I also have one of these with only a "10" marking (same hardware, same marking location) - very uncommon. I've always assumed these were from a small outsourced batch.

PS: pity someone has made a half-hearted chemical cleaning effort on this example, it looks like it had a heavy black patina not too long ago.
