    Black L/14

    Hey everyone,

This is not my field of expertise so I am going to need to assistance with it. I tried looking this up but I am not finding any other examples of L/14 badges with the same characteristics as this one. I believe it to be a black example and it is non magnetic. I have had a few brass examples in my time but not from this maker.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks again,
    Chrys

Nice badge. Too bad the finish is gone.

Thank you for the reply...it is a shame that someone decided to 'upgrade' it at some point in time!

The wound badge is original, but I am not sure it is made by Frederich Orth. The letters and numbers could easily have been stamped into an unmarked BWB. How many other of this type is there?

I have this L/14 BWB and the setup is very different, to the one shown here.

The badge is the rarer version of the L/14 design.
            Best regards, Andreas
