Found this one which obviously is a silver wound badge:

I also thought about that the one I show pics of above might be a GWB which has been attacked by zink pest and then polished ???

          Please help me out.

Hi. It looks like a good zinc badge with an odd finish. It might just be the picture quality. See what others say. Regards, Ron.

So it IS a gold wound badge - just a bit worn ?

A original Wb but more or less impossible to say what grade from those shiny flash pics. Better day-light pics are needed IMO.
                      Regards

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

                        Good badge IMO.

Personally I think this looks like a decent casting rather than a heavily worn original (don't forget, a zinc badge will not polish up like this). Note the "soft" impression at the top reverse of the badge where the main pin has left a deep impression and what appears to be pockmarking in the reverse 5 o'clock area. Not for me.

                            Regards
                            Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!
