    This came with some other bits, never noticed the engraving.......I guess its a 57, welcome your thoughts, many thanks, Paul

    The engraving issue is a personal taste, therefore this award doesn't look to me that way...

      This is one case where I immediately like what I see. Obviously post-war 57er mini but the engraving looks patinaed. Probably done by a proud vet for a change.

        Nice 1957, but hard to say more. Wounded 1944 Berlin? could be from a bombing raid?

        I dont think anyone could say anything for sure about the ingraving. Its up to if you personal believe or think its cool.

          Thanks guys, I can confirm RAF Bomber Command sent 32 aircraft to attack Berlin overnight on the 7 July 1944.....it would interesting if the Lichterfelde barracks was bombed......also many of the Police division were firemen ?
