    BWB & Cutout SWB

Here are two wound badges I ask for help on... Is the cutout a Condor Legion one? I'm not sure I know what constitutes a Condor Legion one.

Cutout - I didn't think they existed in WW2 so perhaps this is a fantasy item.

I believe the solid BWB is 100% origional and nice. The cutout in my opinion is bad. Regards, Ron.

I think from perusing the photo of the black I just wanna fire in here for effect, it seems to me the bwb kinda looks like one of the infamous L 22 highly discussed versions. Note bead inside left sword tip, "turtle type helm shape as dubbed by one collector here, , as the difference to me on the turtle type is not the helm is shorter, it just seems the helm radius in the area that is normally on regular badges below the back helmet rivet area, just doesnt straighten out like usual helms, but keeps curving in , and gives the illusion it is shorter, thusly appearing turtley.(yi yi yi yi yi ...live action!)

Why couldn't this badge as well as the other cutout badge be fake for the both. I am still a believer in the L22 BWB existing , but think like many other items faked, some look better than others, some are fakes, and some originals , but how does one tell the difference?I believe they need checked for dimentions, details, depth of the stampings edges , pins and hinge pins. This black seems to have too much hinge pin, but could use ,as christopher Walken says"a little more COWBELL" what do you think of dem apples , WB experts?? Agree ? or , disagree?

I think I followed you with a conclusion that they are both bad?

          Best,

I am not sure the black is fake....it just resembled the L22 that is controversial. I am asking as well as observing for enlightenment as to what others with more knowledge on the badges might say to lend more insight in regard to their own opinions as to originality ,who are plumb crazy over wound badges and study them with obsessive passion to the N'th degree.

The L/22 WB pattern has 6 berries at the top wreath join in a 2/2/1/1 configuration. Imo this Black WB is not related to L/22 examples. I personally don't have a problem with it.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!
