I found a few examples of L22 marked badges in the forums. The berries and leaf designs are different (proper and all present), however, the bow appears to be the same.
The L22 examples I found were silver & gold badges (cast?), solid not stamped.

Could it be that the dies used to make the stamped black wound badges was simply not as detailed or rushed into production? Where the degree of detail was less important than on the higher class medals?
    ...just a thought

      Hi Brad,

so far there is no hollow (black) L/22 known which is maker marked. All of them are unmarked but they are looking similiar to the massive L/22 marked ones. That's why we speak of L/22 design here.

My personal opion is that this - let's say L/22 - design was used by different firms and i have seen on a show a unmarked massive one too. So why not another similiar looking variant of the hollow one?

The setup is not that common and i think it wasn't used by fakes so far.
      Best regards, Andreas

So basicly ,( I am assuming only) if one would find a black one maker marked , It would be a rare badge , and it just is logical that somewhere there must be one , as how could that maker not make blacks , and make silvers and gold. The hinge on this one is like a 30 Gold , and the difference is no flat pin, just round, but it is clear it doesn't fit the hinge well .(loost a little), hook is similar style of the Gold 30, but with a downward more bulbous end. This may not be of any significance, but mr kleins comments are well taken, and akin to my own . Lets see what turns up on this thread , we never know what may develop on the subject.
