"800" Silver Wound Badge, Black brother

I have these two Wound Badges. The silver one is just superb in its design and manufacture -- probably the highest quality wound badge I've ever personally had.

I got the black one out of interest, because it comes from the same die as the silver, which I'd never seen before.

Is a maker known for these at all?

Also, what is a good value for the silver one? I plan to pass it on to another collector via the eStand, and I don't really know how to value it. I saw on on Screamn Eagle's table at MAX priced at $400, which seems ludicrous to me. Do they really get anywhere close to that much money?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Here's the black one. I don't think that these are common... anyway, I've never seen another.

        Hi Trevor,

I don't think I've noticed a normal black WB from the same die as the 800 WB die before, so that was interesting - thanks for showing it!

Re value of an 800 WB these days, I'd guess starting at somewhere around the 120 Euro mark (ie, low end) would be reasonable. I wouldn't pay 200 Euro for this 800 variant (imo the most common) let alone US$400!!!

        Regards
        Mike

I would say they are scarce, but they do come up now and again. I would think $400 is a little steep IMO.

Giel Van Wassenhove sold one I tried to buy recently, but someone beat me to the punch. I think his was around the 80 Euro mark, though I could be off a little bit, it was still fairly reasonable.

            Cheers,

            Glen
