Got this one from an auction, I believe the badge is blood pitted??Your opinions are welcome.

Well it looks like someone has removed the finish trying to clean it up. Many things can cause pitting and corrosion of metal. IMHO there is no real way to know what cause it, unless it is in it's original state (uncleaned) and proper forensic testing is performed for organic substances. The likelihood is very small.

Most likely just random moisture and poor storage for many years. Other than that, a nice original Werner Redo badge.

You can see traces of a liquid dripping from the upper part to the bottom..a drop of some kind of liquid that happess to be red or purple in color.....
