    Black WB mm L/21

    Hello gentlemen.
I just started looking at my L/21 marked mint black wound badge, and noticed something strange: the badge is otherwise identical to Mr Vaveris:is example (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=18391) but the makers mark is upside down. Is this quite normal?

Sorry, this came to wrong forum (should have been general wehrmacht awards), maybe somebody can move it?

    Hi Sami,

One maker Rudolf Wachtler used to mark the solid awards upside down but i have never seen before 'L21' from Forster & Barth firm marked upside down.
    Can you post some pics?

I see that you're not association member so you can't post pics here unless if you can host them in another server. The $25 required for the membership is not much for your support to this great forum plus that you have benefits.

Anyway, you can send me your pics if you want at:
      Tenebre$rocketmail.com

      Replace $ with attn.

            Hi Sami,

Our Chris is the resident wound badge expert so wait for him and his prognosis, but the badge in my opinion is genuine without a doubt

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

The badge in my point of view it´s ok.

I think that the builder was drunk,

              Cheers,

Thank you for your answers. I was wondering how is this possible, i have always thught that the makers mark is part of the same die that was used to make the wound badges, but this would suggest that first they made the wound badge with one machine, and then struck the makers mark with another.
