      I've done the same thing but with a Luft flak and an MK1 IAB.

        Don't worry--you're not alone! The amazing thing is that it seems the item dropped is magically directed to whatever object in the room will do the most damage to it! I had the finial of a clothing rack (about 2 lbs. in weight) fall onto a table and bounce directly onto a III. Reich 78 rpm record (shellac) which, of course, broke into worthless shards; a silver medal I dropped didn't want to fall onto the soft carpet but rather onto the iron bar of a manual typewriter, giving the medal a nice dent. There are more stories but they're too depressing!

            sometimes you have the felling that when these days comes allong you stop and wondering WHY did a get out of the bed...
            thanks for sharing,and i hope you can get you hands on "new" record,in sweden whe call them "stenkakor",if you translate this right ower to english it woud be:stonecookie´s (hmm what does this have to do whit this thread)

              not a wound badge but i once had a nice IC 1st class in a box.that is untill my dog decided it liked the musty old smell and thought he would eat it!!!--totally my fault for not putting it out of reach luckily he spat out the cross to concentrate on the box

                and the dog is still alive ,lucky you that hi spat out the cross(if not,you woud have to whait some time,befor it woud have come out the other way, brrr ),that woud have to be a ugly task
