    Black and gold woundbadge, fake??

    Hello,
I'm a collector from the Netherlands, offcourse german WWII.

Some years ago a bought a lot of german stuff, such as a schnellboot size kriegsflag (I will post this one later) a luger holster and some medals.
I'm more the fieldgear, helmet en vehicle parts collector, medals and badges aren't my best thing to determine wether they are fake or original.

So the following woundbadges belonged to the stuf I bought some years ago,
The black one is the brass hollow version wich is painted black, but non maker marked.
The second one is a gold one or a updated silver one, it has some age as you can see by the metal corrosion on the swastika and sides of the badge. Also non maker marked as far as I can tell. The catch of the pin looks very odd to me.

So my question is, are they real or are they fake?

Thanks already, here are the pics: If you want others, just ask.

For the future if you ever see a badge with a catch like that it's a fake no ww2 original badge got such a catch

          Ok thanks a lot,
I already tought that te black one was original, for the gold one i didn't know.

The catch is indeed to beautiful to be original, originals have a simple wire hook or a hook similar to the one on the black wound badge.

I bought this one for 20 euro's, so it is not to bad. I will sell it as soon as possible, I only collect real stuff. To bad there are so many fakes out there

          Again thanks!

          best regards Sven de Haan.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).
