    Hi guys,

Got this the other day but somehow I can't help it to think this is a fake. General crafstmanship on the front is not detailed enough. Maker mark is not as clear as usually. Catch,...? Were they really made like that?

    Opinions appreciated!

Appears ...someone tried to polish it with silver polish or brasso or something, leaving that white residue in swas, and backround pimples, might be why you thought its fake.

I think its alright also. Might try carefully brushing the spots very lightly with a very tiny soft brush, nothing stiff (like maybe a brush used to clean out old electric razors or something like the tip of an old tooth brush thats really worn out thats soft one tiny spot at a time ) to see if it comes off, be careful to not remove the oxidized finish if you do so only where its got the white residue only.

Most times i never suggest messing with anything, but Once the residue is gone you might notice the details come out a little more clearly . I have a few zincers with original silvering still remaining. Nice mark Ostarrichi997.

The white residue is most likely the rests of the white wash finish that it originally came in.
As Jussi and Ronny i have no problem with it.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).
