    Black Wound Badges

    Hello to all,

I found two nice, cheap Wound Badges over the weekend. The first is by Josef Rossler & Co. and the second is by Steinhauer & Lück.

    Best regards,
    Tom

The 91 obverse wreath has great detail.

Hey Tom, i think in the past you were more envolved with WB's....hehehehe

Very nice examples of both and the '91' is scarce to find for the record

                  Hi Ron,

Thanks for the response. I agree with your comments about the detail. In my opinion, the 91 has nicer detail than of any other Wound Badge. Not only in wreath detail, but in detail to the sword hilts and background stippling: very crisp and distinct. I also like how the hinge and catch are an integral part of the badge stamping.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

                    Thanks for your comments, Chris.

I still like Wound Badges, though, and always will. My problem is that, in addition to Wound Badges, I also like Heer badges, Kriegsmarine badges, Luftwaffe badges, Iron Crosses, ribboned medals, award documents, armbands, and medal bars.

                    Best regards,
                    Tom
