    My first BWB

    Hi all,

I am in the process of posting this weekends bounty up in the proper places. For your review is my new BWB, marked 98 or 88 or something like that. It is stamped. It also has a nice ball-type hinge. I am new to these, so any advice is also received well.
    All comments welcome and appreciated!

    All the Best,
Some better photos would help. It is hard to tell what you have.

It´s a 93 and by the looks of those rather small pics in a very good condition.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I need to sell this one now and I am wondering if RS &S is a rare or sought after maker. I have seen some pretty pricey BWBs...

            Anyone?

            Best,

I agree with Hans, quite common maker and type.

Look there are of course more common maker than RS&S...
Some things how a common WB turned to scarcer:

Let's take examples of hollow printings.

                Small factors: Condition and finish

Major factors: materials, hardware, markings, design

For example: a very common CW WB in steel but is scarcer in brass material
KuQ is a common maker too but is scarcer with integral hardware set up
S&L another common maker but scarcer when double marked or stamped mrked instead of raised mark... and the list goes on and on i can write all night...

For the record, the double marked RS&S is quite scarce...

So is like $40 USD a fair price?

IMO $35 to $40 is an OK price.
