DonĀ“t throw away your fake WBĀ“s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

                Hi,

did you mean Formans "Guide To Third Reich German Awards...And Their Values". 1st Edition, pubished in 1988?

I have this Book here, and canĀ“t find the wound badge on page 96 & 97,
but on page 62, without a backside, maybe I have the wrong edition?

                Please enlight me

                Mathias

The 20 Juli Wound Badges are on p. 96 and 97 of the 2nd Edition, at least, and perhaps later editions as well.

Incidentally, Forman's shows some awards that are undeniably fakes. How can you be certain that the 20 Juli Wound Badge he shows is not among them?

I'm just curious, not challenging you or his book.
                  Best regards,

                    1944 wound badge

hi trevor i dont know if they are right . this is the first i heard about his book showing fakes. it was the 2nd edition i was talking about. look at the one up for sale it is a very nice one and they are tearing it apart . i do have to agree it doesnt look as nice as it should . you can read about them in christopher ailsby book on world war 2 german medals . it describes them in great detail. i not and expert on these it is just my opinion of it .

Well, I don't know much about most TR awards, but just in the EK section of the 2nd ed., there are are least 2 fakes (postwar copies): 18a, and one of the packets on the facing page, as far as I can tell.
                      Best regards,
