Black Wound Badge with wide pin

Would like to verify the authenticity of this brass black wound badge. It is in near mint condition, marked # 4 .

That is a very crude S&L fake IMO

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Is it a fake? Or is it an original with crudely replaced hardware and repainted reverse?

          Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Ok, i am prepared to give it the benefit of doubt. But i would like to see some straight taken pics of the obverse and reverse if possible.

I second that - at least then there will be a decent chance to compare die characteristics with known genuine S&Ls.

Mike take a look the thickness of the edge characteristic point of hollow fakes bearing the #4 or L/16 beyond the set up, repaired or not.
If my memory serves me well only F&B WB has such thicness.

These copy are made in Germany and exist solid issues as well.

                Best,

                Chris
