Hi all!

I 've been buying stuff from this dealer for the past 5 years. Although he is a nice guy, that's not the point here... His main source is indeed from abroad, from other dealers, something that's raising the prices excessively as a consequence. Another factor for that is this "tradition" of antique store owners here (there are no serious militaria dealers in Greece as far as I know), of thinking that they have true gold in their hands.

Haven't been burnt till now from items I bought from him as I was doing my homework, picking the stuff I knew it was original and looking for reasonable prices that now seem to have been gone judging from his website...

That was till now as I said, as I ordered such an example of the bwb that Fotis (general1900) is showing here, based on the photos on the website When I received it, what struck me was the size, the tinny construction, the overall construction of the badge pin and the lack of the rear helmet pin.

Still think he's an honest guy though, as he sells repros as such. IMO the problem is that he is indeed no expert and can't control the fake stuff that's sold to him as original by his sources and he is not trying to investigate further. That said...

As stray dog and i said this guy is NOT an expert like the guys on the forum...the fact he tells u something is original it does not mean it really is except if he can prove it which requires knowledge on militaria stuff which he does not have.

thats right. The helmet i bought , i posted before in this forum and after telling me that it is original but repro ( new paint) and in good price for Greece, 100 eyro , cause in Greece you can not find military easy i bought it

I have great news. Today i went to the militaria shop that i got this bwb and the guy accepted at once to get whatever item i wanted at the same price. This badge was provided to him from Germany as original so he got mislaid.The dealer was kind and honest.
