    WB Black L/16 ?

    Hi Guys !
    A friend of mine here in Norway has just send me this pics , and asked for my opinion .
    I`m not sure if I have seen L/16 WB before , and WB is not my strongest field in 3. reich awards , so I need your help and opinion .

      Very nice, yes L 16 WB's in black exist, I've got one in a packet and that badge looks just fine to me. Is that brass I see or oxidised steel were the paint has come away, ask him to see if it's magnetic or not should there be any doubt's, I'd suspect steel.

                Hello,

                The black WB is looking good to me also, has an intresting hinge/catch set up though. Never seen before this setup for this maker.

                Here the back side of 2 WBs from my collection for your reference, one is steel and the other is brass.

                    I have a zinc L/16 with cast-in hinge and catch. It's marked both on the pin and on the badge below the catch.
