    Opinion about WB Silver

    Hi All,
please for some opinions about this WB mm 65,
    Thank you!

    Happy New Year 09!

First impression is that it's original

However the maker mark is relatively speaking very faint - the mark on these late war types is usually more raised - but this might be that it's just worn?

Also what's the blue on the rim of the helmet and around the catch?

Bottom marked 65.....Not seeing line over top or rust around hinge posts.
Hinge post look spaced right...Good to me

Looking at this WB further, I'm wondering is it actually a worn Gold K&Q?

A original SWB made by K&Q with a weak mm.

The blue under helmet the looks like a scanner issue and not from the badge.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

              Thanks for all opinions

Hans N, yes that is correct, that blue shadows is a scanner isue

Here are some examples with taht blue shadow:

Mike, the badge looks more silver in hand, maybe is that gold effect also from a scanner.

              Thanks guys!

Nice sharp details on front as these 65 marked ones useally have and backside also looks good to me.
