Hallo Oleg,

Without a close-up scan of the maker's mark, I would guess that it is an incuse relief "4" for the firm of Steinhauer & Luck - this firm commonly marked their wound badges in the same place. It looks like a nice early tombak or nickel silver example as well - congratulations!

Hi Oleg,

I agree with Frank & Mike, realy very nice early S&L.

If I look at the patina your badge developed and taken in to account that its a worn example but there isn't any tombak shining through, my guess would be that its made of Nickel Silver.

Here is my Tombak example with quit some yellow alloy shinig throug on the worn spots.
