Who is the maker of this BWB?

Just got this and was wondering who the maker might be. There is no MM. The helmet shape is slightly different (sharper angle between brim and skirt, and rear skirt more angled) and the sword handles are slightly wider. Also no rear rivet. all comments welcome. Regards, Ron.

If anyone is interested, I may at least have found another example searching the WB forum.http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=S%26L

Well for what it´s worth Ron i am following this and i must admit that i forgot that thread you linked to but it seems to be a match designwise.

But, there is sometimes a but, how do we know for certain that one Poellath packet and this type of WB is not "married" after the war?
I mean one packet is not enough to say these are Poellath's, but it´s something to keep in mind for the future though.
          Regards

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Hans, I can't be absolutely sure my BWB and Poellath packet were not married after the war, that said - based on the BWB and the stains/marks on the packet - my pairing have spent a long time together.

            So I have 2 possibilities:

            1. The packet and BWB were issued together.

            or

            2. The packet was an un-used/isssued example that was married a long time ago with the BWB.

Either way the evidence is not conclusive, but my gut feeling is that the packet originally came with the BWB.

            Mike

Thanks for the response Hans. I bought it thinking it was a Deschler, but of course it is not. So I didn't know what it was. To me it certainly has a unique helmet different from the standard. Regards, Ron.
