René, I've never heard of Gebruder Gengenbach (I assume that's what it says) as a manufacturer, could this be a retailers packet?

Don't know if Gengenbach was a member of the LDO. But he produce for the Präsidialkanzlei Woundbadges. Must be a very small manufactor for badges.

            Gruß

              Thanks for posting your packet.

It does further contribute to our knowledge of wound badge producers.

                Hi René

I am not sure if anything else has been found out about this maker since you started this thread, but it appears at least they made or issued KVK2s with Swords.

Here is a packet I picked up some time ago

                regards
                Graeme

I also have a 1939 KVK2X packet marked to Gebrüder Gengenbach. But I have never seen a Black Wound Badge packet marked to them. That is a really nice packet, René, and a great discovery.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

I've always wondered too: Did Gebrüder Gengenbach also manufacturer the Hindenburg Cross? It seems that most manufacturers did.

Is it possible that this small 'G' within a larger 'G' is a logo that was used by Gebrüder Gengenbach? Or perhaps this is Gebrüder Godet?

Good shout Tom, with the Hindenburg crosses. I always thought the one you posted was Godet, but can't recall why..

Maybe the following one can be a better candidate for Godet, as Berlin is mentioned.

                        cheers

Nice one, Graeme. That one is for sure a Gebrüder Godet & Co. IMO. And a Hindenburg Cross with that particular marking is seldom seen.

                          Best regards,
                          Tom
