Thanks Thorsten that would be nice. At Detlev you say, can't remember ever seeing one on his updates. Probably during my holiday.

Please use the following address and I'll post them in this thread.

      Hi guys,

I'm alive and kicking, i'm outside of town and i don't have access on my pc. I'm using right now a friend's one.

Phillippe and Frank, unfortunately i wasn't the buyer of Graig's badge.

Now about S&L WB's, Tombak badges are similar with Frank's photos, hinge and catch placed into recesses. Zink badges does not have recesses and are made with cast in hinge and catch. Almost all the badges are marked on the pins but not all, i have seen S&L WB marked below the catch with a raised '4'

I can't find something wrong with Pillippe's badge, correct appearance of the maker marks, the type of catch which uses on his WB's, espesially with his LDO maker marks..... The only problem for me this badge is 'resentful' and i don't like polished or overgilded in my collection.

        Hi Chris,

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated

And I agree with you, the only problem with this WB is that the finish is completely ruined, realy a pity.

If anybody ever needed a good reason for not trying to clean a badge if your not 100% sure of the results of your action, always remember this S&L Gold Wound Badge.

I'm afraid I'm in for a long search again.

                    Hello Philippe,
I thought the question was if the badge was original ,not the shiny finish.

I think the badge is a good one.
If it was a fake you would have noticed many of these ,you didn't..
It might be you don't like the look of it ,but that's another story..
It'll get dull again but it takes a while..

                    Regards,
                    Jos.
