My first wounded badge - original ?

    Hi

I'd appreciate if some of the experts here could tell me what they think of this badge that I got today.

    Thanks !

Jesper, Can you post a picture of the rear with the pin closed?

I'm not keen on the pin on this SWB and the front is causing me some concern, is the badge hollow (that is does it have a back plate attached) and is it light in weight?

I've seen one of these before somewhere - I just can't remember where - time for a little searching.

The badge is massive, heavy - and not hollow.

This may be the badge Mike saw at one point in time that reminded him of your silver example. At the time, it was deemed a fake and was placed in my photo files as such.

I'm sorry that your first experience with these badges was not a success. If you read through previous threads, I'm sure you will gain some good insights before making another wound badge purchase.

The setup (hinge, catch, and pin) seem to be the same.

It doesn't look right to me either. I thought it was cast also when I saw it. Hopefully this won't get you down, because there are many good ones out there. Try the Estand for some decent examples.

Dennis, spot on - that's the little one I was thinking of.

Looks like one sword is wider than the other, too.
