Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

            Sergey:

Your badge is a tough one to run across. Yours is the first I have seen with that narrow hinge setup.

My L/57 has a standard hinge setup as shown below. I've never posted it before, and I wonder if anyone has opinions on it.

The reverse.....my scans of this badge are fairly awful....sorry about that. The maker mark is located in the same location as Sergey's badge as well.

My photo files for L/57 wound badges in black are almost non-existent. I would appreciate seeing other examples of these.

At one point in time, the badge with a hinge similar to mine was controversial, and the jury seemed to be out on it. My specific badge has a round wire catch, rather than the flat wire catch that was on two debated badges a while back.

Ronny, Chris, Hans ........ if anyone has an L/57 tucked away, I'm sure you do.

At one point in time, an L/57 wide pin BWB was posted, and was deemed FAKE.
It is interesting for me to note that it must not have gained wide circulation, as I have never encountered one in person, or seen one offered for sale on the internet. This compared to the multitude of (for instance) FAKE L/14s and L/63s out there.

Has anyone changed their opinion on the wide pin badge?

These badges were posted on the forum years ago. A badge similar to mine but with the flat wire catch is on the left, and the wide pin example is on the right.

                  Hi Dennis,

Here is mine with the 'classic' hardware set-up...
As for the wide pinned black WB's bearing the L57 mark i'm still not sure if they good or not, this maker has various set ups.

                    Hi Chris:

Thanks for taking the time to post your very nice L/57 BWB!!

I rarely see L/57s, and as I mentioned, my photo files for this maker seem weak when compared to wound badges produced by other makers.

The "classic" setup which you and I posted, I assume was made later (and perhaps in greater numbers) than the one Sergey posted (which appears to be consistent with an earlier setup type). His example is very cool.

Thanks to both of you for posting your badges.

If anyone else has an L/57 out there, or an opinion on thes badges, please share it with us.

                    Dennis
