      Closer - the photo makes it look darker than it is. It has the "smoke" effect in hand.

        The difference can be clealy seen in the last shot. The black is a modern finish. The pebbled field is more stippled and this is then white frosted.

          Yes, the difference in detail is very apparent when you know what to look for.
          Unfortunately, many don't !

          The "black" finish on this one is really much more "gray" in natural light, so the color differential between real and copy has been improved on this one.

          P.S. - In the last 3 days on this Forum, I have managed to post the only three copies that I ever knowingly acquired as copies for my "keeper collection"(LW Sea Battle, LW Panzer Assault and Juli 20 Wound Badge). ("Knowingly" is the operative word!) So I am now tapped out in case anyone wants to see anything else exotic in copy form, but I'm sure others will step forward.......
