Hi, have been offerred this silver wound badge marked 32 for $57USD,
opinions on whether it is worth it please, I have no experience with these,

Hi Mark,

Hard to judge the finish, as the pics from the scanner are poor. Can you find out of the badge is made from iron/steel (magnetic). I'd suggest this example is a stripped Black grade steel badge, even though the hardware tends to suggest a tombak badge. If it is a stripped Black badge, it's way overpriced.

Looks like a stripped black would badge to me too. $57 for that seems a little high. You should ask him to take about $20 off.

It's NOT a silver. Definitely a stripped black. Personally I would pass on this one, but if you really want it then $15 to $20 would be an OK price.
