    A PERFECT Wound Badge?

Hi folks! I just picked this bunch up from a local antique store, no doubt a vet buy. I probably paid too much again

The black wound badge is especially nice. It is marked "3" on the reverse (Deumer?), and has absolutely ZERO wear or chips in it. I think it is fabulous!

The KVK 1st Class, that I showed you all last week, was a part of this group (I only had so much $$$ on me at the time). Strangely, the KVK1 was also marked "3".

Let me know what you think!!!

I just found out the Wound Badge is made out of steel; It's magnetic!

Very nice items, John. Yes, 3 is Deumer.

        Hi John,

For a steel badge, it is in amazingly good condition! No evidence of wear at all - Mint! Good find.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

          Nice grouping!
All look to be in nice shape. EK seems nice & black, no chips to the enamel on the Mütter's Cross either.
And that is a very sharp looking wound badge.

          Congratulations on the find.
          Regards,
          Chris

Always interested in buying Ribbon Bars or anything Ribbon Bar related!!

            Thanks for the replies!

I thought I did ok on the bunch- It's getting harder and harder to find this stuff locally.

Chris- The Mothers Cross does have some enamel issues on it's left side (right side as you look at the pic). Also, the ribbon is actually (2) ribbons, threaded thru the cross loop. From the creases/folds in the ribbons, I would guess that they were tied into a bow at one time.

The 1914 EK2 has a maker mark of "K". From what I have studied, this maker is still unknown. It is three-piece, and the center is magnetic also.
