silver wound badge mm 10 and l52

    hello collectors,
i have this 2 wb's in my collection and i dont know if they are authentic or not
the first one is a silver wb with mm 10, its bigger than my other wb's in silver.

the second one is a silver wb without a maker mark. some people had said it's from the maker l52. i cleaned it with a little bit of tooth paste and i found a little 6 under the catch

sorry but my cam is not the best.

    any comments are welcome

    greetings peter

            Hi Peter,

Let me put it this way, if I had the opportunity to buy both badges, I would do so in a heartbeat!

            Regards
            Mike

              Peter,
your first badge is clearly an original '10' . The second badge is a Steinhauer & Lück (L/16)

              Cheers,

              Neil

                hallo,
                thank for your opinion
L16 is a good idea but look to this thread:

                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=L%2F52

my woundbadge is the bade from Guido L. i cleaned it. in his link you can see it uncleaned. at that time everyone thought is is a l52

                thanks for all

                            Peter,
When I compare the obverse of your 'L52' and your L16, I see the same tooling . I've also compare it with some of my L16 files which also share the same features. Unfortunately, I don't have any confirmed Silver L52's or 20's to compare, but for me they both look like L16's

                            Chris,
what points you to suggesting that the first badge is an L52?

                            Cheers,

                            Neil

                              Hi guys,

Neil, because of the type of hardware and style of construction.

Peter, another hard to find the maker marked '16' WB, so pitty who is broken the catch, but don't worry this hardware set up was not strong. I have seen several integral WBs without catch and mostly without hinge because the hing can not be opened widely.

I'm afraid i have bad news for the silver WB, sorry.
