    BWB Maker Identification - HELP!

    Hello,

Here is my small collection of Wound Badges. From Left to the right:

    GWB - Unmarked '30', SWB -'65';
    BWB - marked but unknown, BWB - 'L/11', BWB - 'L58 (L53?)' and BWB - '4' .

I know it may sound ridicoulus to ask for help to identify marked badge but due to the fact it is in stone mint condition I don't want to mess with its catch which unfortunately is closed. Below I am postig several more pictures of the unknown badge.

I do hope someone will help me out.

PS. To Chris Ververis - Chris, it is the same badge I thought to be '4' (thread from the last year) - now I know it is certainly not.

                Hey Tomas,

The '4' was not actually '4' i know that

Don't worry your awards will not get any damage if you carefully open the pin, besides the example you show the markings under the hinge is not maker marks but some markings in the area of placing the hinge, not uncommon.

A misunderstanding - the catch is bent so that it makes a closed loop - it closes the pin inside it. I am affraid to open the catch (possible damage to the badge) so I can open the badge. Is it any possibility to recognise the maker of this badge basing on the detail and hinge/pin/catch construction?...

Tomas, your award is made one of the many existed makers, nothing characteristic and i like it because of the condition.

I have open several bended catche's in my collecting life and the opposite

With caution, patience and of course the proper tool each time the results will not harm your award.

                      Hello Tomaz

                      Nice badges
The black badge is an unmarked L/16 (4) IMHO
The catch is the big giveaway, and I agree with Chris
I believe you can open the catch without harming the badge,
I have done it several times, many badges I got by mail have
Had there catches smashed by the post office

                      Cheers,
                      Ronny
