    GWB 4 question

I posted this question on the Rarest Maker thread. Which maker stamps their mark on the needle? I have a GWB that is stamped either "A" or "4" on the needle. Thanks for your help. Jim

    Jim,

I think the mark is '4' , this maker used to marked the awards in that way on the pin.

Post a pic for accurate opinion.

      4

Chris, it is a 4, I finally got my eyes focused and used another magnifying lens. It measures 36.2mm wide and 44mm high and 4mm thick.

Jim yes a typical late war S&L WB, also these 'long 4' pin mm WBs an additional faint '4' maker mark can be found most of the times under the catch, take a look with your loop carefully.
