Black wound badges

These two came with this lot from an estate sale that I've shown here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...13#post1719113

First one is unmarked.

Both are steel and show signs of being worn.

Second one is marked 32.

It has some corrosion near the hinge from the solder flux. Should I put vasoline on it?

In my opinion vaseline could not hurt the badge, and could lessen the visual impact of the oxidation.

The 32 maker typically has a lot of oxidation in these flux areas in general. There are quite a few variations of this makers BWBs......setups and maker marks as well.
